Professor Phil Jones - Head of the Centre for Research in the Built Environment, Cardiff University.

Prof. Phil Jones


Professor Jones has a national and international reputation in his field of study. His department has completed energy and environmental reports into housing within areas of Wales to inform local authority strategy and planning. They have also undertaken important research into the impact of the built environment and public health.


Chief Executive

Richard Grant - Director of National Grid's Affordable Warmth Programme and of the DTI Design and Demonstration Unit (DDU).

Richard is credited with leading the development of integrated Fuel Poverty solutions within the UK. He is seconded currently to the Department of Industry's DDU. The Unit has been set up to design and then pilot innovative, community based schemes for advancing the drive towards the sustainable provision and use of energy.

William represents member company Warm Zones Ltd. He is also Chief Executive of National Energy Action and has a long and distinguished career in the field of fuel poverty.

Lynne leads and controls all financial elements of Warm Wales and is responsible for ensuring the company meets its statutory requirements in terms of finance and audit.


Advisers to the Board

Tracy Hine - National Grid's Affordable Warmth Programme, Commercial Manager Strategy & Implementation.

Tracy is responsible for the day to day management of the company and advising the Warm Wales Board on future strategy. In addition, Tracy provides strategic advice and a link with other UK fuel poverty schemes. Tracy is also Director of the North Staffordshire Warm Zone.


Jeremy Nesbitt - Commercial Director, Warm Wales

Jeremy Nesbitt


Jeremy is responsible for the day to day management of the company together with advising the Board on the future strategy and growth within Wales. Jeremy is also Commercial Manager of National Grid's Affordable Warmth Programme and has specific responsibility for the delivery of the DTI's pilot on extending the gas mains system in the UK.
