Health Through Warmth
Warm Wales has joined in partnership with npower's Health Through Warmth programme to bring this national training and funding programme to Neath Port Talbot.
Health professionals and others who visit vulnerable householders are trained to identify those at risk from living in cold or damp homes. Staff refer their clients to Warm Wales for practical help with home insulation and improved heating. Clients can also receive free benefits advice from the Warm Wales benefits service.
Warm Wales is able to provide all insulation from the 'Bringing warm homes to Neath Port Talbot' scheme. A special Warm Wales Emergency Fund has been set up to provide heating in urgent cases, where the householder is not eligible for other grant schemes or they may not be able to respond quickly enough. Warm Wales sources other funding from national schemes such as the Home Energy Efficiency Scheme (HEES), charity and benevolent groups.
