Benefits Advice
Every householder can choose to have free advice on benefit entitlement and help with making a claim or even an appeal for benefits. A team of trained advisers contact householders by telephone and offer home visits to discuss their situation. Npower staff provide the Benefits Helpline telephone service and experienced staff from the Welfare Rights unit at Wrexham council give advice and support with application forms.
Benefits service clients who qualify for additional payments, have received an average of £4,000 per household. In some cases, extra benefit payments have totalled about £10,000 for a household.
